The temperatures are definitely getting cooler around here and the change of the seasons is evident in the air each morning. Leaves are falling, hot beverages taste just a little bit better, and that need to cozy up with a warm blanket is real!
A few months ago, Mallory (NautiKrall) and I were chatting and got ourselves super excited with an idea to do a fall crochet-along! If you're not familiar with Mallory's patterns, she creates gorgeous blankets, pillows, shawls, cowls, etc... with a focus on fun granny square elements. I have personally made a few pillows and blankets and they are some of my favourite projects!
Well get yourselves ready for the bulkiest, and coziest blanket crochet-along ever, becuase we're creating a special edition Coastline blanket with super bulky yarn!
The new blanket, Autumn Coastline features large sunbursts in beautiful fall colours (but feel free to choose any colours that inspire you) that are then joined with an awesome CAYGJ (crochet as you go join).

You are welcome to use any Super Bulky weight yarn for this project (or something a little less bulky, but keep in mind that changing the yarn weight will change yardage required and the finished size of the blanket)
This CAL is all about community and we want everyone to take part so use stash, order your favourite yarns online or stop in to your favourite local yarn store or wherever you love to purchase yarn!
For my first blanket (yep, I said first LOL!) I used Estelle Bulky yarn which is a wool and acrylic blend. And we do have kits for the blanket I created available for pre-order in the store here. You can order all the yarn needed with a 20% savings!
If you want to use the Estelle Bulky and take advantage of the kit sale price but the colours aren't quite right, send me a message and we'll see what we can substitute.
Kits will ship out / be available next week so make sure to get those pre-orders in this weekend :)
