Entrelac Knitting | February 8

Entrelac is a knitting technique that gives the effect of a woven blocks of colour.
Learn this technique by knitting an entrelac cuff in the round. You will also learn how to do a Latvian braid which accents the top and bottom of the cuff. You can continue the cuff and make it into a mitten in the Arched Mitten class or just continue on from the cuff using your favourite mitten pattern.

Skill Level: Intermediate - skills used include, increasing, decreasing, picking up stitches, knitting in the round

Supplies Needed:

• 4.5mm DPN's (or 9” circ or 32” circ if you prefer magic loop method)
• Worsted weight yarn - MC 50m (150 if you want to continue the cuff into a mitten), CC 25 m. The sample is knit in Malabrigo Rios
• Notions - darning needle, stitch marker
